I’m an extrovert who likes to create. What do I create? All sorts of things that I enjoy sharing with the world. Writing that teaches, images that inspire, food that satisfies, reflections that make you think – I think of this space as my virtual living room where I can let you know what I am doing and listen to you what’s happening with you. What will you find here – lots of talk about faith and the journey of a life of abundance, great books to read, honest observations about life, mixed in with scripture and the saints.

What I’ve done

My first major foray into ministry was playing the guitar in my parish folk group. Since then, I’ve served in parish ministry in both paid and volunteer positions for over 40 years in religious education, youth ministry, stewardship, liturgical ministries. I’m on the Magnificat Service Team and Unbound Prayer Team in our diocese and a lector and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at our parish. I’m also studying to become a spiritual director.  In between all of this, I raised 2 children with my husband and now have the great joy of grandchildren. I went to graduate school a few times, for an M. Ed. in Educational Leadership and an M.P. S in Parish Administration.

Who Inspires Me

My favorite saints are Ignatius of Loyola and Catherine of Siena.  I love Ignatius’ way of seeing God in all things and his practicality.  Catherine, well she was bossy and outspoken and told people exactly what she thought, besides being deeply committed to Christ especially in the Eucharist.

My writing

Invite the Holy Spirit into Your Life: Growing in Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control, published by Our Sunday Visitor. Contributor to The Catholic Mom’s Prayer Companion published by Ave Maria Press. I contribute to Catholic Mom and Amazing Catechists.

Fun facts about me

I love the beach but don’t go as often as I’d like. If I could read and sew at the same time that would be wonderful. And yes, I know there are audiobooks but not the same. My friends think I’m funny but my husband does not. I use cloth napkins on a regular basis. I listen to podcasts while I walk.
